Workspace State of Mind
While most blogs like to focus on fashion and gadgets. I prefer the more nerdy and technical side of things. Wordspaces included. If my hard drives were manifested into physical forms they would look something like this one above.
It is obvious that David Neville and Marcus Wainwright — the guys behind Rag & Bone — have great taste. Practically all of the clothing the brand turns out ends up on my wish list and with the opening of the company’s new SoHo store, you can add art to that list. The Mercer Street shop is currently featuring an installation of photos titled “Workspace,” from photographer Joseph Holmes. The beautiful images center around — you guessed it — people’s desks, which often end up being cluttered workbenches and messy industrial nooks around New York City. Holmes (pictured here at the Rag & Bone party this past week with actress Sienna Miller and Messers Wainwright and Neville) grew up in a factory town in Pennsylvania and has a talent for showing the beauty in industrial aesthetics. Ferrari 275 GTB drives through the heart of Paris.
This is the kind of thing that can leave you speechless.
On an August morning in 1976, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris.
No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.
No dialogue, just the squeal of tyres and the roar of the engine. Breathtakingly insane.

Site Inspiration: Wieden+Kennedy (advertising agency)
Words can’t explain how much I loathe most flash sites. They take to long to load, pointless design, pointless intros, no (good) s.e.o. compatibility etc. Just all kinds of bad. But every once in a while I see these kind of sites that made me wish I had finished all those flash tutorials. Like this one from Weiden+Kennedy. I can go for hours the amount of advertising campaigns they have done but you can just search for yourself on their site.
